Responsive inclusive design (RiD): a new model for inclusive software development

چکیده
Abstract The design and development of technological solutions based on software for all types people, including people with disabilities, is still a pending issue in most application projects today. Situations like the 2020 pandemic drastically reflect how disabilities tend to be left outside construction guidelines. There are multiple initiatives previous works that advocate user involvement from beginning project; however, this work, we go step further by presenting model designing constructing applications (RiD—Responsive inclusive Design) defined software. RiD extends entire life cycle, different roles, taking into account changing nature profile evolution product. This article also presents EDICO case study, an accessible scientific editor Spanish National Organization Blind (ONCE), which was successfully implemented applying principles.

Measuring Inclusive Development in Iran (1981-2016)
The concept of "inclusive development" has been expanded with the aim of placing special emphasis on the social and political aspects of development. In explaining this concept, the focus of how well-being is distributed to different sections of society, especially disadvantaged groups and social minorities (such as youth, women, ethnic minorities, religious minorities, etc.), is at stake. متن کاملInclusive development: Software engineering requirements for universally accessible interactions
The notion of ‘universal access’ reflects the concept of an Information Society in which potentially anyone (i.e. any user) will interact with computing machines, at anytime and anyplace (i.e. in any context of use) and for virtually anything (i.e. for any task). Towards reaching a successful and cost effective realization of this vision, it is critical to ensure that the future interface devel...
متن کاملInclusive Design for Older People
The Centre for HCI Design (HCID) at City University London has Inclusive Design as one of its key research themes. Older people have been the main research population we have been studying under this theme for a number of years now. Our work in this theme focuses primarily on the design and evaluation of web interfaces for this population. In this paper we describe our work in this area.
متن کاملTools for Supporting Inclusive Design
Despite the ageing population and the subsequent importance of considering older people in design, many designers struggle to do so. In particular, they often lack appropriate materials and tools to help them implement inclusive design in practice. This paper describes work at the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre to address this shortfall, developing resources to motivate and equip designers...
